Yoga, associated with a funny little exercise – just seems subtle. The uses of the exercise might probably just be the best but unproven but you can’t just term it as Yoga!
However, this reminds me of my school days when my teacher used to shout out a group of names which include mine, call us to the front of the class, and make us do this. It always did look funny and humiliating, perhaps, behind all the intentions did lie a noble one. What brought this practice into the lineage will be a nice one to observe for me to be less cyncial about terming it as “Yoga”.
