The beginning of this year has seen quite a lot of disruption both by natural and men-driven. Talk about the floods in Brisbane and then this attack.

Having been brought up in a neighbouring Arab country to Egypt, I’ve always thought the rule was very similar. Perhaps, it is, and perhaps people just can’t stand it anymore. Further more, countries like India, and China pop up more often in the news for corruption and inefficiency. I’ve come to think that is perhaps a good thing rather than to evoke in disgrace just as Egypt has.

It is quite painful to see that people have taken to the roads, caused themselves so must of restlessness and brought their country to this state. Would it have made a difference if the uproar had risen a few decades ago? Would it make a difference now? What if there is another leader who’d be more corrupt and delirious?

Questions to these may not be answered but at least Egypt has tried to shake the dictator’s chair and let the government tumble!

Kickbackistan in an Arabic – Egyptian context will probably be a big hit!!

I used be annoyed by the local newspaper – The Times of India for news it published were absolutely irrelevant. However, there seems to be a common trend with media these days that they’d want to be nosy about every moving finger in the air.

It probably is partly the fault of my age, where I don’t wish to see extravagance in places I don’t see deserving. Perhaps, it is someone’s else’s choice to be interested in the gossip behind whether the pair lived in the same apartment while they studied and did things which any one would or would not do!

I don’t want to start mentioning second thoughts now, before I start being convinced that behind every marriage there is amount of economic, and social interest and growth and behind this particular one, there is probably a lot of political interest. So be it! As long as there is no monetary benefit, I wouldn’t be interested in this!

Wonder when my sister or niece will start blogging!

However, this reminds me of my school days when my teacher used to shout out a group of names which include mine, call us to the front of the class, and make us do this. It always did look funny and humiliating, perhaps, behind all the intentions did lie a noble one. What brought this practice into the lineage will be a nice one to observe for me to be less cyncial about terming it as “Yoga”.

It is simply superb to watch Rajni perform even at this ripe age.

I’ve always been a keen fan of Rajni’s since my younger days thanks to my Dad. My dad and I used to watch Rajni for his stunts and film presence. I wouldn’t have appreciated this movie more had I not been brought into this influence…

It might not be right politically and economically, rather socially. However, these aren’t contributions that non-first-world countries would benefit from.

I have this instinct that the Nobel awards are going to lose their charm especially after presenting Obama a Nobel for something he’s thought of doing. Couldn’t it have waited till the job’s done.

I like such innovations, more for the idea than its actual use…
